Donald Meno, Obituary
He was born in Bridgeport, Oct. 13, 1942, a son of the late John and Sophie Meno and was a U.S. Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed working as a radio announcer and loved trains and classic cars.
In addition to his wife Kathleen, he is survived by his son, Donald J. Meno Jr., of Vermont; his sister and brother-in-law, Nancy and Dick Rackoczy, of Florida; his father-in-law, Richard Kolbek, of New Jersey; his sister-in-law, Elaine O'Toole, of New Jersey; and two nieces and two nephews.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., on Friday, Oct. 9, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home at 12 p.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in his memory may be sent to The Michael J. Fox Foundation, P.O. Box 5014, Hagerstown, MD 21741-5014.

I met Don a few years ago. He had his Navy Veteran hat on. We struck up a conversation and got together pretty much every Sunday before he went to the radio station to do his polka show. We were both in the Navy, both radiomen, and had many stories to share...it was great. He battled his illness bravely.
Don,I'm glad you're free from the limitations your body put on you.
