Geraldine Lewis Obituary
Geraldine was the daughter of the late Philip and Helen (Rogoz) Kurcon. A resident of Meriden and East Haddam, she attended local schools and was a graduate of Meriden High School, Class of 1949. Geraldine was employed by General Motors, Connecticut General Insurance and Aetna Life Insurance. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church in Meriden and St. Bridget Church in Moodus.
Mrs. Lewis is survived by her brother, Philip Kurcon Jr. and his wife, Elfriede; a sister-in-law, Marie Lewis; and many nieces, nephews and godchildren whom she was very fond of. Geraldine was predeceased by her sister, Phyliss K. Kirkby.
Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 2, at the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden at 11:30 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church, 82 Akron St., Meriden for a Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00 Noon. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Tuesday morning April 2, at the Stempien Funeral Home from 10:30 until 11:30 a.m. To send an online expression of sympathy please visit www.stempienfuneralhome.com.
Memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Lewis may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
