Alan Graham Obituary
He was born Nov. 14, 1928, in Meriden, a son of the late Horace and Emily (Thomas) Graham. Alan proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II and the Korean Conflict as a Seabee, Mobile Construction Battalion 3 in the Philippines and Morocco. He was an inspector for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in Middletown for 37 years before retiring. Alan's passions were being a pilot, being a member of the Civil Air Patrol and shooting, winning an award for black powder shooting. He was a member of the International Muzzle Load and Shooting Assn., the NRA, Antique Veterans and Meridian Lodge of the Masons-32nd Scottish Rite.
He is survived by three children and their spouses, Jill and Kevin Casey, of Meriden, Jeffrey and Kathleen Graham, of Andover, and George Graham, of Meriden; four grandchildren, Steven Casey, Michael and his wife, Tracy Casey, Justin Graham and Jessica Cascio; three great-grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a brother, Thomas Graham.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, March 13, at 11 a.m. at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. The Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden, has been entrusted with the arrangements.
