Alan Hillburn Obituary
Born in Meriden on Sept. 24, 1956, he was the son of the late Ralph and Eleanor Hillburn. Mr. Hillburn graduated from Orville H. Platt High School in 1974 and worked at Shoprite and Expect Discounts Store as a produce manager for many years.
He is survived by four brothers, Ralph D. Hillburn, Dale Hillburn, Larry Hillburn and his wife, Sheila and Chris Hillburn and his wife, Mariella Larosa Hillburn; he is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, Dec. 2, at 10 a.m. in Walnut Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden on Sunday, Dec. 1, from 3 to 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in his memory may be made to New Opportunities, Operation Fuel, 74 Cambridge St., Meriden, CT 06450. R.I.P AL...you trained me to be a produce mgr at xpect.you were an acquired taste to a lot of people.but we got along well.and we were a great team when we worked together.i loved you as a friend.you will be missed .R.I.P buddy.
