Arthur Rioux Obituary
Artie was born in Middletown on Oct. 12, 1953, he is the son of Nancy (Smith) Morin and Mourice Morin and the late Arthur O.
Rioux he lived in the Middletown/Meriden area for most of his life. He was a U.S. Army Veteran (Vietnam aria) and was employed by the V.A. Hospital and Medical Center in West Haven as a CNA for a number of years.
He is survived by one daughter, Fayth June Rioux, of Meriden; two sisters, Diane Rioux and Linda Gray, both of South Carolina; a nephew, Keith Fredrickson, of Dayville; his father-in-law, Ted Coitrone and the late Beverly Coitrone; and his sister-in-law, Debra Coitrone, all of Meriden; several aunts, cousins and good friends. Artie was very involved in the Native American way and traditions and carried a Native name Buffalo son given to him by a very special elder. Artie had a great love for music and loved life but most of all he was a very proud dad his "little lady" Fayth was his pride and joy.
A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, at St. Andrews Episcopal Church, 20 Catlin St., Meriden. (corner of East Main and Liberty Street) Family and friends are welcome to attend.

I have fond memories of Artie, I am Linda's childhood friend and still best friends for the last 50 yrs. Artie was alway's nice to me. He made me feel like part of the family. He alway made me laugh. He was a great big brother to Linda and Diane. I also thought of Artie as my big brother too. I have not seen Artie in yrs. but I alway asked Linda how is Artie doing? Artie was a very kind and gentle man and will be greatly missed by many. Thoughts and prayers are with his family in this time of grieving. I am sure I can speak for many people of the "Baran's" family and express our condolences.
