Bernice J. (Harris) Croce

WEST KINGSTON, R.I. - Bernice J. (Harris) Croce, 72, of Knowles Lane, West Kingston, R.I., died suddenly on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2013. She was the beloved wife of the late Anthony Croce.

Born in Providence, R.I., on March 3, 1941, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Frances (Pearl) Harris.

She was the loving and devoted mother of Lisa Guarnieri and her husband, Vinny, of Westerly, R.I.; Tony Croce of Lakeworth Fla.; Sherri Altimari and her husband, Steve, of Westerly; Kelly Croce, of Richmond, R.I.; Jeanna Knox and her husband, Calvin, of Aberdeen, N.C.; Michael Croce, of Richmond; Jennifer Croce, of Middletown; and Steven Croce, of Cumberland. She was the grandmother of Vinny, Hailey, Alex, Noah, Lucas, Addyson, and Kayla. She also leaves her brothers and sisters; Arthur Harris of San Angelo, Texas; Edward Harris, of Narragansett; Robert Harris, of Warwick; Cheryl Davis, of Cranston; and her sister in law, Marie DiBenedetto, of Johnston, R.I.; and several nieces and nephews. She was the sister of the late Dorathea Hayden.

The Croce family will greet family and friends on Monday, Dec. 16 from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Buckler-Johnston Funeral Home, 121 Main St., Westerly, R.I. The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 17 at 2 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in River Bend Cemetery.
