Blanche L. Davenport

SOUTHINGTON - Blanche "Lorraine" (Seile) Davenport, 82, of Southington passed away surrounded by her family on Saturday Dec. 28, 2013 at her home. She had been the loving wife of Charles F. Davenport for 65 years.

Born in Benedicta, Maine on June 3, 1931 to the late Joseph and Elva (Casey) Seile, she had been a longtime Southington resident.

Blanche worked in Accounts Payable at General Electric and retired after 25 years of service. She devoted much of her time to her family. She enjoyed babysitting and spending time with her loved ones. Blanche will be deeply missed by those who loved her.

In addition to her husband, Charles, she is survived by her son, David Davenport, and his wife, Linda, of Wyoming; her daughter, Corinne Rescigno and her husband, John, of Saugus, Mass.; and her son, Chuck Davenport, and his wife, Sherry, of Southington; her daughter-in-law, Carol Davenpor,t of Plainville; her sister, Fran Dembecki of Maine; 9 grandchildren: Bridget, Brent, Pauline, DJ, John, Chris, Patrick, Nicole, and Jessica; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Timothy G. Davenport, and 11 brothers and sisters.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Blanche's memory may be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN, 38105.

A funeral Mass will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 2, at St. Matthew's Church, 120 Church Ave., Bristol. Burial will be held at the convenience of the family.
