Carol Theresa Ross

MERIDEN - Carol Theresa Ross, 70, wife of Thomas Ross Sr., died on Wednesday, Dec. 11, 2013 at Midstate Medical Center after a sudden illness.

Born in Meriden on September 4, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Peter and Helen (Wojtunik) Kozak. She was a lifelong Meriden resident and had graduated from Meriden High School. Mrs. Ross was employed by Napier Company and Elk Manufacturing. She was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church. She was a member of the Meriden Jr. Football League as an officer. And was an avid reader. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking care of her granddaughters.

She is survived by one daughter, Heather Cicio, of Meriden; two sons, Thomas Ross Jr. and his wife, Christine (Zygmont); and Peter Ross and his wife, Jennifer (Jenkins), all of Meriden; five grandchildren, Matthew Ross, Amber Ross, Stephanie Cicio, Samantha Cicio, and Neena Golden; one sister, Bonnie Norman, of Southington; two brothers, Peter Kozak, of Florida; and John Kozak; and several nieces and nephews, especially Roger Ross and his family, Lisa, Dean, and Rachel; and her beloved dog, Harley. She was predeceased by a son, Robert Ross.

Friends and relatives are invited to attend a funeral service to be held on Monday, Dec. 16, at 6:30 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden. Burial will be private. Friends may call at the funeral home on Monday, Dec. 16, from 4 to 6:30 p.m.
