David Banack Obituary
He was born in Meriden on Nov. 23, 1932, a son of the late Julius and Eva (Graham) Banack. David was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. Until his retirement, he was employed by FiServ Corporation. He was a member of Major Raoul Lufbery V.F.W. Post 591 and the P.N.A. both of Wallingford.
In addition to his wife Sophie, he will be missed by his two devoted and loving children, Maureen Banack and Luke Banack, both of Wallingford; and a sister, Jewel Mele, of Wethersfield.
A graveside service with military honors will be held on Friday, July 19, at 10:30 a.m. at the Holy Trinity Cemetery, North Colony
St., Wallingford. There are no calling hours. The B.C. Bailey Funeral Home, 273 South Elm St. is in charge of arrangements. To leave condolences or find directions, please visit

Dear Sophie, Maureen and Luke,
Jim and I are sorry for the loss of David. Jim lost a good cousin, friend, and fishing buddy. I enjoyed talking to David when he called to speak to Jim about fishing and give the "report" about opening day etc.
He will be missed. We are keeping you in our prayers during this sad time.

David and I grew up in the neighborhood
together. I always considered David as one of the best friends I ever had.
We shared a lot of fun times since our early days. I am truly saddened of his death.

Dear Sophie, Maureen and Luke, We are so very sorry that you have lost Dave. It was an honor and a pleasure getting to know Dave. My dad considers Dave his friend. He misses him a great deal. We're only sorry they had to meet the way they did. We will always cherish the lotto ticket days, the stories and the video of the two friends singing! I had the pleasure of working with Dave many year's ago as a young kid , just writing this post some 30+ year's later is a testament to what a great guy i thought he was, God Speed Dave and thank's for the memories.
