MERIDEN - Dorothy Marie (Quinn) Petroske, wife of the late Stanley Petroske, died Sunday, Jan. 20, 2013 at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford just three weeks shy of her 97th birthday.

Born in New Haven on Feb. 9, 1916, the daughter of the late Charles and Laura (Champagne) Quinn. Dorothy attended local schools, was a parishioner of Holy Angels Parish, S. Meriden. She was employed by New Departure Hyatt Bearing Division of General Motors, both Meriden and Bristol Plants for over 20 years.

She is survived by two loving sons and daughters-in-law, James R. and Cynthia L. Petroske, of Roseville, Calif., and Robert J. Petroske and his former wife, Una (Glennon) Petroske, of Milford; she is also survived by two loving daughters and sons-in-law, Marilyn E. (Petroske) and Anthony Walka, of Cheshire and Donna L. (Petroske) Lukonis and former son-in-law, Joe Lukonis; 15 very dear grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two children, Shirley J. Petroske and Alan E. Petroske; and two brothers, Harry Quinn and Raymond Quinn.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, Jan. 24, at 11 a.m. at Holy Angels Church, 585 Main St., S. Meriden for a Mass of Christian burial. Everyone is asked to gather directly at the church. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. There are no calling hours. The John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 e. Main St., Meriden is in charge of arrangements.
