Dorothy Testa Obituary

SOUTHINGTON- Dorothy (Wagonbrenner) Testa, 88, of Southington, passed away peacefully, Friday, Jan.24, 2014, at the Southington Care Center. She was the wife of the late Frank J. Testa.

She was born Oct. 15, 1925, in New Jersey the daughter of the late Henry and Loretta (Petrillo) Wagonbrenner. She retired from Pratt and Whitney in Southington as the executive assistant to the plant manager. Dorothy was a parishioner of St. Thomas Church. She was artistically talented in many areas and for many years an active participant in the Southington Women's Club, Literary Guild and the Library Board.

She is survived by a daughter, Sharon Chavez and her husband, John, of Duxbury, Mass.; two sisters, Camille Simone, of Southington and MaryAnn Quinn, of R.I.; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two infant children, John and Maria Grace.

The funeral will be held Tuesday, Feb. 4, 9:15 a.m. from the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., to St. Thomas Church for a Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery. Calling hours will be Monday, Feb. 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. In lieu of flowers donations may be made in her memory to the American Diabetes Assn., 2080 Silas Deane Highway, Suite 100, Rocky Hill, CT 06067.
