Edward DuBois Obituary

SOUTHINGTON- Edward DuBois, of Southington, 63, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at the Summit Health Care in Plantsville.

Ed was born on March 28,1950, in Southington. He was the son of the late Rene and Aurella (Deprey) DuBois. He attended Marion School and worked at Kuhn in Meriden for over 40 years before his battle with Parkinson's disease. Ed was a big New York Yankees and Boston Celtics fan. He enjoyed baseball, bowling, horseshoes and other outdoor activities. He will be greatly missed by all who shared his life.

Ed is survived by his brother, Roderick DuBois; his sister, Linda Casale and her husband, Richard, and her two sons, Rick and Brian; Ed's sister-in-law, Annie DuBois; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by three brothers, James, John and Raynold.

We'd like to thank the staff at the Summit for the five years of care given to Edward.

A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St., Southington. Burial will be at St. Thomas Cemetery.
