SOUTHINGTON - Jennie M. (Aszklar) Czarnecki, 93, of Southington died peacefully on Monday Feb. 25, 2013, at the Southington Care Center. She was the loving wife of the late Theodore S. Czarnecki for 65 years.

Born May 31, 1919, in Plantsville to the late John and Mary (Gomolka) Aszklar, she had been a lifelong Plantsville resident. Mrs. Czarnecki worked at New Departure during World War II. She was a longtime member of the Immaculate Conception Church, a Charter member of the Immaculata Women's Club and a member of the Calendar House.
She is survived by three sons, Paul Czarnecki, from Bristol, Bob Czarnecki and his wife, MaryLou, from Harwinton and John Czarnecki and his wife, Terry, from Washington State; two grandsons, Benjamin and Timothy, from Waltham, Mass.; her sister, Nell Mikulak and husband, Joseph, of Southington; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by two sisters; and one brother.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, March 1, at 9 a.m. from the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville with a Mass of Christian burial at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church, 130 Summer St., Southington. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, Southington. Calling hours will be held on Thursday, Feb. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jennie's memory may be made to the Southington's Lions Club, P.O.
