MERIDEN - John Santos, 90, beloved husband of the late Rhoda (Bourque) Santos, died Thursday Nov. 29, 2012, at MidState Medical Center.
Born on March 13, 1922, in Fall River, MA, he was the son of the late John and Belmira Santos. John was a longtime resident of Meriden and a parishioner of Holy Angels Church, where he served as an usher. He proudly served in the United States Army during WWII and received the Purple Heart for his dedicated service. John worked as a welder for Pratt & Whitney Aircraft, where he retired from after many years of service. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus. John was an avid Red Sox fan; he enjoyed playing cards with his poker buddies and friends at the Meriden Senior Center. He and his wife Rhoda made many friends playing bingo. John loved his family and his church. His greatest joy was that he and his wife were able to attend all of their grandchildren's events.

Robinson and her husband Jon, of Meriden; a brother, Edward Santos of MA; seven grandchildren: Kristine Atwell, Kimberly Zimmer, Brian Kelleher, Kimberly Fruehling, Michael Kelleher, Thomas J.
