NORTH PORT, Fla. - Joseph J. Adamowicz, 85, of North Port, Fla., and formerly of Meriden, Conn., passed away on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

He was born on May 17, 1927, in Hartford. Joseph moved to North Port, Fla., in 1984, from Meriden. He was a member of and had a rosary ministry based out of Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church in Venice, Fla. Joseph had served in the U.S. Army Air Force and had received a Victory Medal during World War II. He was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia.

Survivors include his three sons, Richard B., Mark J., John J., all of Meriden; and a daughter, Beverly A. Pentzak, of North Port, Fla. He also leaves behind ten grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. He was an avid golfer, bowler, and huge Boston Red Sox fan. Joseph was a very generous and charitable man, who touched the lives of countless individuals.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 11 a.m., Monday, March 18, at Our Lady of Lourdes Catholic Church. Farley Funeral Home, North Port Chapel, is handling the arrangements. To share a memory visit
