Joseph C. Pistilli Jr.

1934 - 2013

SOUTHINGTON- Mr. Joseph C. Pistilli Jr. , 79, beloved father and brother departed this life at the Southington Care Center on Thursday, Nov. 21, 2013.

Joseph was born on Feb. 10, 1934, in Meriden, he was the son of the late Joseph Sr., and Rose (Sorvillo) Pistilli. He lived a large part of his life in Meriden and Southington and worked until retirement at the Pratt and Whitney Aircraft Co. He also served honorably in the U.S. Naval Reserve Forces and was discharge in October of 1960. Joseph was fond of being near or on the water and loved boating on the Connecticut river and Long Island Sound.
He rejoins his late wife Claudia (Middleton) Pistilli to whom he was married from Sept. 8, 1956, until her passing on Aug.13, 2008.

He is survived by his sons, Joseph and his wife, Cheryl Pistilli, of Bristol, Daniel and his wife, Deborah Milewski , Rick and his wife, Karen Pistilli, all of Southington; a brother, Raymond and his wife, Jan, of Crisfield, Md.; and four grandchildren, Jessica, Melissa, Kevin, and Katie Pistilli.

Funeral will be at 5 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 24, at DellaVecchia Funeral Home 211 N. Main St. in Southington.
