Margaret Ibbotson Obituary

MERIDEN - Margaret Ibbotson, 95, of Meriden, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, July 12, 2013, at the Coccomo Rest Home after a brief illness.

Peg was born Jan. 16, 1918, in Wallingford and had been a librarian at the Cheshire Public Library, retiring in 1981. Peg was also a proud veteran of World War II having served in the U.S. Navy.

She is survived by Elizabeth Ibbotson, of Austin, Texas, Louise Casso and husband, Ron, of Cheshire, Anne Richards and husband, Dean, of Toronto, Canada, Mary Tupper and husband, Rick, of Liberty Hill, Texas; six grandchildren, Louise Bell, Arthur Bell, Dayna Richards, Benjamin Casso, Michael Casso and Thomas Casso; and one great-grandson, Jonah Bell. She was also predeceased by her husband, Louis J. Ibbotson.

Peg's family would like to express their deep gratitude to the Coccomo's staff for their wonderful care.

My mother was the most amazing women I have ever met. She was the epitome of life. She loved visceral, cerebral and visual. I was very fortunate to have her in my life. I will miss her very much.
