Patricia Lawler Wrinn

WALLINGFORD - Patricia Lawler Wrinn, 86, formerly of Jeffrey Drive, Wallingford, died Monday in Kennett Square, Pa., surrounded by family. Patricia was an underwriter for Middlesex Mutual Assurance Company for many years until her retirement. She was a parishioner of Holy Trinity Church in Wallingford. She loved playing cards with family and friends, cruising the world oceans, and spending time with her family.

Patricia was born in the Bronx in New York City, the daughter of the late Michael and Kathleen Martin Lawler, and was a graduate of Hunter College. She moved to Wallingford, upon her marriage to Joseph Wrinn, a lifelong resident.

She is survived by her children, Michael and Edna Wrinn, of Meriden, James and Mary Wrinn, of South Yarmouth, Mass., Patricia and Peter Jones. of Newark, Del., Andrea and Gerard Burkard, of St. Joseph, Mich., and Gary and Karen Wrinn, of Middletown, Del. Her grandchildren, Mark , Michael, and Mathew Wrinn, Joseph, Abigail, Sandra and Thomas Wrinn, Daniel and Robert Jones, Jennifer (Jones) Lorber, Marie and David Burkard, Caitlin and William Wrinn. Additionally, she is survived by her great-grandchildren, Mckenzie and Michaela Wrinn, Conner, Brayden, and Emma Wrinn, and Delaney Lorber; her sister, Genevieve Hilton, of Durham, N.C.; and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Wrinn; her twin sister, Kathleen Higgins, of Burke, Va.; two brothers, Joseph Lawler, of Hudson, Ohio, and John Lawler, of Larchmont, N.Y.; and a granddaughter, Laura Burkard.

Her family will receive relatives and friends Monday, June 3, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext. The funeral will be Tuesday at 9 a.m. from the Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St Joseph's Catholic Church, 1012 French St, Wilmington, DE 19801.
