Robert Frank Obituary

MIDDLETOWN - Robert F. Frank Sr., 84, husband of the late Mary J. Frank passed away on Monday, July 1, 2013, at MidState Medical Center after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Meriden on Aug. 22, 1928, to the late Anthony and Eda (Catalano) Frank. Robert resided and attended school in Meriden prior to moving to Middletown in 1973. He was employed by the Napier Company of Meriden and the Meriden-Wallingford Hospital before retiring from the State of Connecticut in 1991. Robert was a parishioner of St. Rose of Lima Church, a member of the Polish Falcons in Middletown, and the Eagles of Meriden.

Robert is survived by two sons, Robert F. Frank Jr., of Waterbury and Michael Anthony Frank, of Middletown; two grandchildren, Tina Marie Gunther and Dennis R. Frank; two great-grandchildren, Amber and Lee Anne Gunther. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. Robert was predeceased by one brother, Anthony J. Frank Jr.

The funeral will be held on Friday, July 5, at 8 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 E. Main St., Meriden. Burial will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. prior to the service. Should friends desire, contributions in his memory may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford, CT 06492, or the American Lung Association of CT., Inc., 45 Ash Street, East Hartford, CT 06108.
