Robert Krupa Obituary

SOUTHINGTON- Robert F. Krupa , 92, died Wednesday, Jan. 1, 2014, at Bradley Memorial Hospital, Southington.

Born Nov. 20, 1921, to the late Frank and Mary (Curylo) Krupa. Husband to the late Dorothy (Kosienski) Krupa. Graduated from Meriden High School, lived his entire life in Meriden. He worked for Pratt and Whitney and New England Gear, before retiring. He served in the U.S. Air Force during World War II before his discharge in 1946.

He is survived by two sons, Dennis Krupa and his partner, Peggy Dimmock, of Southington and Ken Krupa, of Meriden; one daughter, Linda and Eddie O'Connell, of New Britain; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Ruth Stacey, of Worcester, Mass., and Frances Krock, of Meriden; and his cousin and best friend, Paul "Smygs" Michalczyk.

A memorial services will take place Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11:30 a.m. at the State Veteran's Cemetery Chapel, 317 Bow Lane, Middletown, followed by burial with full military honors.
