Robin Monahan Obituary
Robin was born in Kingston, Pa. on Jan. 16, 1956. He was the son of the late Justina Krulick DeStefano and the late Robert Monahan. Robin grew up in Wallingford and was a 1973 graduate of Mark T. Sheehan High School. He was employed by Pratt & Whitney Aircraft in North Haven and East Hartford and a proud member of the Machinists Union LL1746 for 32 years until his retirement in 2011. He had recently moved to Meridian, Idaho.
Besides his wife, Robin is survived by two sisters, Donna DeStefano Gay and her husband, Garrett, of Meriden, Annette DeStefano Hemstock and her husband, Bruce, of Wallingford; and two brothers, Michael DeStefano and his wife, Sheryl, of Las Vegas, Nev., and David DeStefano and his partner, Rob Jacobson, of East Haven. He also leaves behind five nephews; one niece; and many treasured, lifelong friends. He was predeceased by his step-father Anthony J. DeStefano.
Funeral services were held in Boise, Idaho. A gathering to celebrate Robin's life will be held on Sunday, Nov. 17, from 1 to 5 p.m. at the VFW, 100 Veterans Blvd, Stratford, CT.
