Stanley Stopkoski

WALLINGFORD - Stanley Raymond Joseph Stopkoski, 70, of Wallingford, died unexpectedly Friday, Sept. 13, 2013, at MidState Medical Center. He was the beloved husband of Martha "Marty" Stewart Stopkoski

Born in New Haven, Nov. 19, 1942, a son of the late Stanley and Julianna Kozlowski Stopkoski, he was a Wallingford resident for most of his life. He had been employed as a supervisor for Picker Corp., of Northford, and later had worked at Corometrics and Walbro and was a very dedicated delivery person for the Meriden Record-Journal for the past 13 years. He was a big New York Yankees and New England Patriots fan. He was a handyman who took great pride in his work and received great pleasure from helping his family and friends. He loved working on cars with his step-son Nicky.

Besides his wife Marty, Stan is survived by his loving family, his daughter, Katrina Torres and her husband, Joe, of Wallingford; his step-daughter, Toni Maynard and her husband, Jayson, of Wallingford; his step-sons, Dominic Parrotta, of Wallingford and Mario Parrotta, Jr., of Ansonia; his grandchildren whom he cherished, Jayden Torres, Valerie Torres, Mario Parrotta, III, Alyson Maynard, Dominic Parrotta, Jett Maynard, and Cody Parrotta; his sister, Judy Ruggiero and her husband, Joe, of Wallingford; his brother, Robert Stopkoski and his wife, Linda, of New Mexico, and several nieces and nephews. He will be truly missed by all.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home 809 N. Main St., Ext., Walling-ford on Monday, Sept. 16, from 5 to 7 p.m. Interment will be private.
