Sue Hamilton, 59, of Wallingford, died February 16, 2013, at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of the Jack Hamilton.

She was born in Miami, Fla., Sept. 9, 1953, a daughter of the late Trent and Madeline de Gafferelly. She had been employed at U.S. Federal Court in New Haven as a Judicial Assistant to the late Honorable Mark Kravitz.
In addition to her husband, John, she is survived by her daughters, Melanie Cooper, of Cheshire and Andrea Graichen and her husband, Randy, of Brewer, Maine; her grandchildren, Jacob Cooper, Morgan Graichen and Tristan Graichen; her in-laws, Cathy Murphy, of Meriden, and Robert and Judith Hamilton, of Westbrook; her uncles, Bud de Gafferelly, and David de Gafferelly and his wife, Terry, all of Florida; her cousins, Michael Leg-gett and his wife, Cathy, of Alabama, and Susie Rodrigues and her husband, Hector, of Florida; her close friends, Marie Carini, of Cheshire and Larry Emerich, of Wallingford; and her court family including Robin Tabora, Andrea, Monica, Becky and many Judges and others. She was predeceased by her brother-in-law, James Hamilton.
Her family would like to thank the staff of The Connecticut Hospice, Dr. Kortmanksy and staff, and especially Dr. Christin Knowlton and staff for the excellent care that they provided to Sue.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Walling-ford, on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, from 4 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 9 a.m. from the funeral home when the funeral cortege will proceed to St. Rose of Lima Church in Meriden where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Entombment will be in Sacred Heart Mausoleum in Meriden. www.wallingfordfh.com
