Walter Grover Obituary
He was born on Oct. 2, 1946, in Waterbury the son of the late Walter A. and Leona (Willette) Grover. He was a U.S. Army Veteran of the Vietnam War Era. He was a member, officer and 2013 Officer of the Year of the Southington Elks Lodge 1669. Walter was a member of the American Legion Kiltonic Post 72 and also a dual member and Chaplain of the Sons of the American Legion. He was an animal lover along with his wife and has been rescuing pets since 1981.
In addition to his wife he is survived by his son, Walter A. Grover II; a sister, Judith Grover Bogdanski; a brother-in-law, Joseph Bogdanski; and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 11, at 11 a.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington. Burial will follow at South End Cemetery with Military honors.
