Angeline Vita Splaine

Angeline Vita Splaine, 84, of Southington, passed away peacefully at home on March 21, 2013. She was born Aug. 14, 1928, in Syracuse, N..Y, the daughter of the late Samuel and Lena Barthomolew Vita.

Angeline is survived by her five loving daughters, Patricia Kraut and husband, Robert, of Southington, Judith Powers and husband, Dennis, of Southington, Marian Splaine, of Newington, Carol Sylvester and husband, Richard, of Kennebunk, Maine, and Kathleen Raissipour and husband, Reza, of Cape Cod, Mass.; her grandchildren, Eric Kraut and wife Karen, Amy Kraut Martin and husband, Maurice, Ryan Sylvester, Erin Sylvester, Stacy Powers and Kate Gregory; and her three step-great-grandchildren, Jack and Natalie Maurice, and Connor Martin; she also leaves behind her loving brothers, Ludwig Vita and wife, Teresa, and John Vita and wife, Mary, of Syracuse, N.Y.; the father of her daughters, William Splaine; and many nieces and nephews.

Our sincere thanks to all who have cared for our Mom: Dr. Harry Morgan, all the staff at Mulberry Gardens Adult Day Care and especially to the Franciscan Hospice Team Members for their kindness, compassion and exceptional care as they helped us prepare and walk the final days with Mom on her journey.

A Memorial Funeral Mass will be held at 11a.m., on Saturday, April 6th at St. Thomas Church, 99 Bristol St., Southington.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to Franciscan Hospice Care, 267 Finch Ave., Meriden, CT 06451, or Adult Day Care Program at Mulberry Gardens of Southington, 58 Mulberry St., Plantsville, CT 06479.
