WALLINGFORD - Charles Theodore Adamowicz, 82, of Ridgecrest Road, Wallingford, died unexpectedly, Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2009, at his home. He was the beloved husband of Louise O. LaMere Adamowicz.

He was born in Norwich, Dec. 13, 1926, a son of the late Theodore and Josephine Mitchkowsky Adamowicz, and had been a Wallingford resident since 1962. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and had been employed by the International Silver Co., until his retirement. He was a parishioner and an usher at Our Lady of Fatima Church.

Besides his wife Louise, he is survived by his daughter, Karen Giannini of Meriden; his son, Steven Adamowicz of Wallingford; his four grandchildren, Nicole, Heather and Jacob Ercolani, and Stephen Giannini; his in-laws, Dawn and Norman Carrier, Leo and Claire LaMere, and Narion Mitchkowsky, all of Massachusetts; and several nieces and nephews.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St. in the Yalesville section of Wallingford on Sunday from 3 until 5 p.m. Funeral services will be on Monday at 9:15 a.m. from The Yalesville Funeral Home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. Gifts in his memory may be sent to Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville, 06492.
