 WALLINGFORD - Corinne Roche Boothroyd, 89, of Wallingford, died at home surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2012. She was the beloved wife of 68 years of Harry W. Boothroyd.
She was born in Detroit, Mich., March 6, 1923, a daughter of the late Lester and Esther Faye Roche and was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church.
In addition to her husband Harry, she is survived by her five daughters, Su Boothroyd and her husband, Charles Link, of Pawcatuck, Gail Gionet and her husband, Dennis Gionet, of Northford, her twin daughters, Michele Boothroyd, of North Hampton, Mass., Maureen Page and her husband, Ron Page, of Middletown, and Lynn Despard and her husband, Rick Rome, of Enfield; her eight grandchildren, Laurel Gionet-Kenyon, Elizabeth Gionet, Thomas Gionet, Kinsey McDonald-Hess, Yvonne Page, Michelle Page, Brandon Despard and Kelsey Despard; her two great-grandchildren, Jacquai Hart and James Overton; and her sister, Margaret "Peggy" Daniels. She was predeceased by her sister, Mary Quagliano; and her brothers, Joseph and Lester Roche.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St., in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, on Saturday, Aug. 25, from 9:30 until 10:30 a.m. when the funeral cortege will proceed to Our Lady of Fatima Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to The Smile Train, 41 Madison Ave., 28th Floor, New York, NY 10010.
