NEW HAVEN - Edward Flynn, age 77, of New Haven, died Saturday, Sept. 15, 2012.

Ed was born May 29, 1935, in New Haven, to the late John and Anna Canning Flynn. Ed graduated from St. Mary's High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Fairfield University. Ed worked for Wallace Silversmiths as industrial engineering manager and also Dunham-Bush, Chandler Evans. Prior to relocating to New Haven, Ed was a longtime Wallingford resident. He was involved with the Wallingford Jaycees and coached the Little League. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard. Ed was a devout fan of the Boston Red Sox and Green Bay Packers.
Ed is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Elaine Hart Flynn; also surviving are daughters, Deanna and her husband, Dennis Juhasz, of Northford, Kyle Kathleen Flynn, of Wallingford; brother, John Flynn, of North Haven; four grandchildren, Ryan Kremzar and Amanda Kling, of Wallingford, Dennis Juhasz Jr., and Kevin Juhasz, of Northford. Edward was predeceased by his son, Scott Edward Flynn; sister, Doris Suchcicki.
Family and friends will gather for the wake, Wednesday, Sept. 19, from 4 to 8 p.m. at the Hamden Memorial Funeral Home, 1300 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Funeral services will be private. For those wishing, online condolences may be left for the family at www.hamdenmemorialfh.com
