SOUTHINGTON - Mrs. Ethel "Jean" (Lipinski) Albanese, 90, of Plantsville, passed away Saturday May 2, 2009, at Southington Care Center in Southington. She was the wife of Onofrio "Nivio" Albanese.

Ethel was born in Torrington, on Sept. 15, 1918, daughter of the late Peter and Kazmira Lipinski. She was employed at Scovill Manufacturing for 42 years until her retirement in 1977. She was a communicant of St. Aloysius Church in Plantsville. Her hobbies included bingo, word search puzzles and visits to the local casinos.
Besides her husband of 61 years, she leaves a son Mark Albanese of Plantsville; two daughters, Margo Albanese of Plantsville, Judith Jones of Pompano Beach, Fla.; a brother, Charles Lipinski of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. Ethel was predeceased in death by two brothers, Theodore Lipinski and Henry Lipinski
Ethel's family would like to thank the doctors and staff at Bradley Memorial Hospital and at Southington Care Center. A special thanks goes out to Dr. Ralph Prezioso.
Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 8:45 a.m. from Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway, Waterbury to St. Aloysius Church, Plantsville, at 10 a.m. for a Mass.
