MERIDEN - Eugene F. Neagle Sr., 90, passed away Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at Waterbury Hospital. He was the husband of the late Margaret (Crowley) Neagle.

Mr. Neagle was born Aug. 1, 1922 in New Haven, the son of the late George and Cecil (Christensen) Neagle. He was a World War II Veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He was a longtime resident of Cheshire before moving to Meriden in 2002. He was a district manager of Met Life and was an accomplished piano player.

Mr. Neagle is survived by his son, Robert, of Waterbury, James and his wife, Robin, of Plantsville and Jonathan and his wife, Candie, of Windsor; his grandchildren, Margaret Mary, Brendan, Colin, Molly, Patrick, Kate, Erin and Kelly; his great-grandchildren, Aiden, Owen and Gabriel; as well as several nieces and nephews. In addition to his wife, Mr. Neagle is predeceased by his son, Eugene Jr.

Funeral services will be held on Friday, Aug. 17, at 9:15 from the Alderson Funeral Home of Cheshire, 615 S. Main St., to St. Bridget Church for Mass at 10 a.m. Burial will follow in St. Bridget Cemetery. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
