The Guest Book is expired.
Born July 27, 1931, in Melrose, Mass., to Florence (Phinney) and Fred Howes. Evelyn attended Wakefield High School and graduated from Reading High School. She was raised by a very special step-mother, Dorothy Woodside Howes Morrison; and two special aunts, Annie and Bessie, after her parents died at a young age. She always had fond memories of her grandfather Howes' Farm in Stoneham near Chrystal Lake in Wakefield. She was a decedent of Thomas Howes who settled in Cape Cod in 1637 from England. Lyn married Dave in 1952. They moved to Connecticut and were residents of Wallingford for 44 years. She worked for many years at Edward Malley Company, Yankee Silversmith Country Store and retired from the Wallingford YMCA.
Lyn loved and appreciated antiques. She owned the Golden Eagle Antique Shop in Wallingford for over 30 years. When she retired to the Cape, she collected and sold antique post cards. She always enjoyed all the antique and post card collectors she met through the years. Lyn also loved wild birds.
In addition to her husband David, Lyn is survived by a son, David S. Livingstone, of Vassalboro, Maine; a daughter, Brenda Salisbury and her husband, Robert, of Barrington, N.H.; grandchildren, Abel Livingstone and his wife, Jennifer, of Haverhill, Mass., Micah Livingstone and his wife, Kari, of Albion, Maine, Jana Salisbury and Kelcie Salisbury, both of Barrington, N.H.; four great-grandchildren, Sawyer, Anna, Charlotte and Elsie; and her special daughter-in-law, Barbara.
