WALLINGFORD - George Stiles Clark III, 74, died March 2, 2013 at Skyview Center in Wallingford, where he resided the past six years. He was the beloved husband of Joy Holzer Clark.

He was born in Milford, April 4, 1938, a son of the late George S. Clark Jr. and M. Towle Clark and was a lifelong Milford resident until moving to Wallingford six years ago. George had attended Milford schools, received his B.S. from the University of Bridgeport and furthered his studies at Yale University. He was an electrical engineer and had worked for NASA on the Mercury Project and retired from ADT Security Systems. George loved to volunteer and help others; he was a greeter at The CT Hospice and a mentor in the Milford school system.
In addition to his wife, Joy, he is survived by his son, Scott Clark; his stepchildren, Deanna Strand and Caleb Hand; his grandchildren, Stephanie van Buuren and Annika Strand; great grandson, Jayden; and his sisters, Norma Cullinan of West Haven, and Sharon Crasilli of Shelton.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Yalesville Funeral Home, 386 Main St. in the Yalesville section of Wallingford, on Saturday, March 16, 2013, from 1:30 p.m. to 2 p.m. A service will be held in the funeral home at 2 p.m. Interment will be private.
