MERIDEN - Helen Wanda (Trawicke) Solters, 99, beloved wife of the late Bernard G. Solters died Wednesday, Sept. 12, 2012, at Apple Rehab of Guilford.

Born on Nov. 6, 1912, she was the daughter of the late Jacob and Sophie (Griglak) Trawicke. A lifelong resident of Meriden, Helen attended local schools and was a parishioner of St. Stanislaus Church.

Helen is survived by her son, Ronald G. Solters, of Guilford; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her four brothers, Frank, James, Henry and Alfred Trawicke; and four sisters, Mary Mitoray, Ann Karash, Evelyn Rielly and Phylis Parady.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 18, at 8:15 a.m. from the Stempien Funeral Home, 450 Broad St., Meriden when her funeral cortege will proceed to St. Stanislaus Church for a 9 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Burial will follow in St. Stanislaus Cemetery. Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Monday, Sept. 17, from 5 until 8 p.m. at the Stempien Funeral Home.
