MERIDEN - Iris Agront, 69, of Meriden, died Friday, Feb. 15, 2013, at the Connecticut Hospice in Branford. She was the beloved wife of Jesus Agront.

Born in Puerto Rico, May 10, 1943, a daughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Teodoro Agront, and was a Meriden resident for many years.
Besides her husband Jesus, she is survived by her daughter, Nora Rijos, of Meriden; her sons, Reinardo Ri-jos, Carlos Rijos, both of Meriden, and Omar Rosa, of Middletown; her grandchildren, Alyssa Vasquez and Josiah Vasquez; her sisters, Carmin Agront, of Waterbury, Iris Medina, of New Jersey, and Milta Reyes, of Puerto Rico; her brothers, Teodoro Agront, of Meriden, Jamil Agront, Sandro Agront, and Lolito Agront, all of Puerto Rico; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son, Jesus Rosa and her sister, Gloria Agront.
Mom you have been such a wonderful loving mother, wife and grandmother who cared for us. Those of you who have met our beloved mother have had the pleasure of meeting such a humble and loving person. We as your loved ones are thankful and blessed to have you as our mother, grandmother and wife. You will be missed but never forgotten. You are now our guardian angel. "Love you Mom... forever in our hearts".
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in The Walling-ford Funeral Home. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. www.wallingfordfh.com.
