WALLINGFORD - Jacqueline A. Kavanaugh, 59, of Wallingford, died Thursday, June 7, 2012, at The Connecticut Hospice in Branford.

Born in Meriden, Nov. 11, 1952, daughter of the late Thomas Kavanaugh and Yvonne L'Ecuyer Kavanaugh. She had been a lifelong Wallingford resident. She was a graduate of the Lyman Hall High School class of 1970, attended Vinal Regional Vocation Technical School and received her degree as an LPN and additionally graduated from St. Vincent College in Bridgeport where she received her degree as a registered nurse. She had been employed by the Hospital of St. Raphael on Celantano 4 for 20 years.

She is survived by her sister, Kathleen Allard and her husband, Robert, of Wallingford; her two brothers, Gerald Kavanaugh and his wife, Charlotte and Timothy Kavanaugh, and his wife, Mary Alice, all of Yalesville; her nieces and nephews, Sean Kavanaugh, Colin Kavanaugh, Cari Davis, Robert Allard, Jr., Tracy Allard, Scott Allard, Megan Kavanaugh, Daniel Kavanaugh, Patrick Kavanaugh; her stepson, Jamie Russo, Jr., of Berlin; and many great nieces and great nephews. She was predeceased by her sister and brother-in-law, Dianne and Fred Davis.

Jackie and her family would like to thank the staff of The Connecticut Hospice in Branford for their professional and compassionate care, as well as Diana Whitmore, her hospice home care nurse.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial, Monday, June 11, directly at Most Holy Trinity Church, 84 North Colony St., Wallingford. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford. There will be no calling hours. In lieu of flowers, gifts in her memory may be sent to the National Multiple Sclerosis Association, 659 Tower Ave., 1st Floor, Hartford, CT 06112 or to the , 825 Brook St., I-91 Tech Center, Rocky Hill, CT 06067-3045. Arrangements are under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 North Main St., Ext., Wallingford.
