SOUTHINGTON - John G. DeSorbo, 82, of Southington, passed away on Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013, at the HCC at New Britain General. He was the husband of Helen (Pernal) DeSorbo.

He was born on May 14, 1931, in Southington the son of the late Pasquale and Amelia (Fasci) DeSorbo. John was a U.S. Air Force veteran of the Korean War. He was a builder and owned and operated DeSorbo Builders for many years.

In addition to his wife he is survived by two sons, John F. DeSorbo and wife, Donna, of New Hampshire and Darryl DeSorbo and wife, Connie, a granddaughter, Megan DeSorbo, all of Southington; three brothers, Dominic DeSorbo, of Bristol, Earl DeSorbo and wife, Molly, of Plantsville, Donald DeSorbo and wife, Jan; and a sister, Dolores LaPorte and husband, Joseph, all of Southington; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Louis, Joseph, Vito, Alex and Tony; sisters, Mary, Nancy, Josephine and Ann.
