Marion O. Phelan Obituary
It is with great sadness that the family of Marion (O' Loughlin) Phelan, 92, of Wallingford, announces that she died suddenly Friday, August 24, 2018. She was the beloved wife of the late Jerome L. Phelan. Marion was born in Meriden, December 24, 1925, a daughter of the late John and Mary (Carroll) O'Loughlin. A devoted Catholic, she was a parishioner of Our Lady of Fatima Church in Yalesville. Upon retiring from Unimax Switch Co., Marion and her husband became Florida residents until returning to CT in 2001. Family meant the world to Marion. Her life was enriched by her four children, 12 grandchildren and four great- grandchildren. Marion is survived by her children, Kathleen Campagnano and her husband Nelson Campagnano, Jr., of Coral Springs, FL, Jerome "Skip" Phelan and his wife Kathleen of Norman, OK, Janis Struble of Wallingford, and Kimberly Thomas and her husband Randolph of Orange; her grandchildren, Kristen Kennedy and her husband Paul, Ryan Campagnano and his wife Maria, Justin Campagnano, Matthew and Jason Mondene, Amanda, Jacob and Mallory Struble, and Kaitlin, Jenna, Kelly and Robert Thomas; her great-grandchildren, Landon and Connor Kennedy, Rylee Campagnano and Mattison Mondene; and several nieces, nephews, and in-laws. Marion was predeceased by brothers, William and Edward, and sisters, Helen Zajac and Esther Tenczar. Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext. Wallingford, on Friday, August 31, from 5-8 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, Sept. 1st at 10 a.m. directly at Our Lady of Fatima Church, 382 Hope Hill Road, Yalesville. Interment will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery in Meriden. Donations may be made in her memory to the , the or to Our Lady of Fatima Church of Yalesville. Marion was dearly loved by her family and friends and will be greatly missed. www.wallingfordfh.com
