WOLCOTT - Nevzat Ali, 78 of Wolcott, passed away at his home on Sunday, July 22, 2012, surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of Lulea (Demirs) Ali of 54 years.

Nevzat was born in Vishocica, Albania on Nov. 7, 1933, son of the late Shaban and Raefie (Spaho) Ali. He came to the U.S. when he was two years old, settling in North Grosvenordale, where he lived for 24 years. He was a graduate of Tourtellotte Memorial High School, where he was class president. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army having served during the Korean Conflict. He worked at Pratt & Whitney for 42 years. His favorite pastime was reading, but he also enjoyed golfing, and was an avid Boston Red Sox fan.
Besides his wife Lulea, he leaves three sons, Steve Ali and his fiancée, Kathy Fecteau, of Southington, Mark Ali, of Waterbury, and Greg Ali and his wife, Regina, of Southington.
Funeral will be held Thursday 9 a.m. at Chase Parkway Memorial/The Albini Family Funeral Home, 430 Chase Parkway. A funeral will begin at 10 a.m. with burial immediately following at New Pine Grove Cemetery. Calling hours will be held Wednesday, 5 to 8 p.m.
