SOUTHINGTON - Paul Winston Thompson, 42, of Southington passed away unexpectedly at his home on Tuesday, July 2, 2013. He was the loving son of Winston and Noreen (McClure) Thompson.

Paul was born in Meriden on Oct. 26, 1970. After graduating Southington High School and attending college, he hit the road cross country living in Arizona and California with his friends and enjoying life. He returned home to his family and worked for the family business. He loved the laughter of his nieces and loved his nephew like a son and a brother. His life was centered for years around his special dog Max.

In addition to his parents, Paul is survived by his sister, Jacqueline Dunham; his brother, Robert Thompson and his wife, Nichole; his nephew; and closest friend, Oliver Dunham; and his nieces who he adored, Amanda Thompson; and goddaughter, Emily Thompson, all of Southington. He also leaves behind his aunt, Maura Davies and her husband, Fred, of Southington; his special friends Rich and Jess; and aunts, uncles; and many cousins.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, at the Plantsville Funeral Home, 975 S. Main St., Plantsville. Calling hours will be on Monday, July 8, from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Plantsville Funeral Home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
