WALLINGFORD- Philomena "Fannie" D'Orsi Vumback, 93, of Wallingford, died Friday, Feb. 20, 2014, at MidState Medical Center. She was the loving wife of the late Frank Vumback.

She was born in Wallingford, April 18, 1920, a daughter of the late Lawrence and Theresa Mongillo D'Orsi and was a lifelong Wallingford resident. She had been employed by Eyelet Specialty Company for many years and was a parishioner of Most Holy Trinity Church.

She is survived by her two sons, Ronald F. Vumback Sr., and his wife, Marie, of Wallingford, and David J. Vumback Sr., of Meriden; her grandchildren, Ronald F. Vumback Jr., Frank E. Vumback, Daenna M. VanDeZande, Brian L. Vumback, David J. Vumback Jr., Elizabeth A. Burns, Melissa A. Vumback and Joy Lynn Fulgham; 18 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Lucy Marenna and Mary Hager; and her two brothers, Dominic Dorsey and Pasquale D'Orsi.

Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Monday, Feb. 24, from 5 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, Feb. 25, at 10 a.m. from The Wallingford Funeral Home, when the funeral cortege will proceed to Most Holy Trinity Church, where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
