MERIDEN - Rose Marie Adamski, 87, wife of the late Stanley Adamski died on Monday, May 07, 2012 at the Apple-Rehab/Coccomo.

Rose was born in Meriden on October 10, 1924. She was the daughter of the late Cosmo and Adeline Nadile Argiro. Rose's biggest joy in life was watching her grandchildren and a great-granddaughter grow up. Rose was a lifelong resident of Meriden and graduated from Meriden High. She was employed by local grocery stores from Patsy's Market to Walbaums. She was a parishioner of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church.

Rose is survived two sons, John Adamski and his wife, Pamela, of Meriden and Vern Adamski and his wife, Janice, of Wallingford; four grandchildren, Heidi Adamski, Allison and her husband, Matthew Csuka, Emily and her husband, Matthew Peregrim, and Jay Adamski; a great-granddaughter, Bella Csuka; a sister, Elizabeth DelFavero, of Meriden; and two brothers, John Argiro and his wife, Mary Ann, of Plantsville, James Argiro; two sisters-in-law, Zerline Argiro and Mary Kokoszka. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Rose was predeceased by a brother, Robert Argiro; brother-in-law, Ken DelFavero; and sister-in-law, Veronica Novakouski. Rose was featured in a 1970's Totie Fields look alike show. Mrs. Adamski won a national contest on the Merv Griffin Show in Hollywood and appeared with Totie Fields in Hollywood and Las Vegas.

The funeral will be held on Thursday, May 10, at 10 a.m., from the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main St., Meriden, and at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church for a Mass of Christian burial. Burial will be in Sacred Heart Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday morning prior to the Mass from 8 to 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, 20 Batterson Park Road 3rd Floor, Farmington, CT 06032 or to Our Lady of Mt.
