CHESHIRE - Adrian "Harry" Scovin, age 87, of Cheshire and Fort Myers, Fla., entered into rest on Thursday, Feb 27, 2014 in Ft. Myers, Fla. He was the husband of Beverly Shanley Scovin.

He was born in Bronx, N.Y., on Sept. 30, 1926, son of the late John and Arley Scovin. Harry was a Sales and Purchasing Manager for several manufacturing companies, including the former B.F. Goodrich and Uniroyal, before his retirement. He was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Navy. He loved sports, especially the Red Socks and UCONN Basketball. He was also an avid poker player both in Connecticut and Florida. Harry also love relaxing on the beach after his retirement.
He is survived by his two sons, Dr. Robert Scovin (Lori) and Russell Scovin (Lynn); his two grandchildren, Amanda and Lindsey; one great-granddaughter, Grace; a brother, Jerry Scovin; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his first wife, Sue Scovin; and one brother, John Scovin.
Friends may call on Sunday, March 16, from 3 to 5 p.m. at the Edward F. Adzima Funeral Home, 253 Elizabeth St. Derby. His funeral will leave the funeral home on Monday at 8:30 a.m. for a Mass of Christian burial at 9 a.m. in St. Mary Church, Derby. His burial will follow in Mt. St. Peter Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made the Hope Hospice, 9470 HealthPark Circle, Fort Myers, Fl 33908.
