MERIDEN - Roberta R. (Godburn) Gudrian, 69, beloved wife of 48 years to William Gurdian passed away on Monday, March 31, 2014, at home surrounded by her family.

She was born Feb. 5, 1945, in Meriden, a daughter of the late Robert and Matilda (Volzke)Godburn. She graduated from Laurel Business College and went on to work for International Silver Company , Dr. Zelly Ross DDS and retired from the office of Dr. Lloyd Davis DDS. Roberta was a member of South Meriden United Methodist Church where she had been a member of the choir and was also a Rainbow Girl at the Masonic Lodge when she was younger.

In addtion to her husband, she is survived by a son, Kenneth Gudrian and his wife, Jennifer, of South Meriden; a daughter, Kimberly Lucy and her husband, Raymond, of South Meriden; five grandchidlren, McKensi, Grace and Syndi Gudrian, Caleb Southard and Liam Lucy; and a brother, Paul Godburn, of New Haven.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, April 3, at 11:30 a.m. at South Meriden Trinity United Methodist Church, 145 Main St., South Meriden, the Pastor Alex da Sila Souto will officiate. Burial will follow at Walnut Grove Cemetery, Meriden. Relatives and friends may call at the Beecher & Bennett-Flatow Funeral Home, 48 Cook Ave., Meriden on Thursday, from 9 to 11 a.m., prior to the service.
