WALLINGFORD - Donald E. Pilon, 72, of Wallingford, died Tuesday, April 8, 2014, at Masonicare of Wallingford. He was the beloved husband of the late Patricia O'Kane Pilon.

Born in Waterville, Maine, March 2, 1942, the son of the late Antonio and Yvonne Ayotte Pilon, he had been a Wallingford resident for many years. He had been employed by Ulbrich Steel and Specialty Metals, in Wallingford, for 33 years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War having served in the U.S. Army. He was a member and past Exalted Ruler of the Wallingford Lodge of Elks, and was a member of Moose Lodge, the American Legion, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars. He was a parishioner of SS. Peter and Paul Church.
Don is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Roccapriore and her husband, Peter, of the Plantsville section of Southington; and his grandchildren, Kayley Vitale, Edward Vitale Jr., Dylan Vitale, and Jeremy Pringle; and his companion, Nancy Fitzpatrick. He was predeceased by his daughter, Melissa Pringle; his son, Michael Pilon; and his granddaughter, Brianna Vitale.
His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Tuesday, April 15, from 5 to 7 p.m. Funeral services and burial will be private.
