WALLINGFORD - Margaret Kovacs Yuris, 94, beloved wife of that late Joseph C. Yuris died peacefully surrounded by her loving family, Monday, April 28, 2014, at the Masonicare Health Center in Wallingford.

Margaret was born in Wallingford, Aug. 19, 1919, a daughter of the late William Kovacs and Julia Kochess Kovacs and had been a lifelong resident. She was employed at Wallace Silversmiths as a payroll clerk and was a member of the Evangelical and Reformed United Church of Christ in Wallingford.
She is survived by her three daughters, Susan (Alex) Werbiski, Janice (Thomas O'Donnell) Kuzub, and Gayle (Ronald) Forster; her seven grandchildren, Sandra and Luis Morales, Paul Kuzub and Kim Ryan, Jennifer and Jeff Sirois, Jessica and Joe Forster, Hilary Kuzub and Dr. Erik Reich and Stephanie Werbiski; six great-grandchildren, Marissa, Nikki and Matt Morales, and Ella, Martin and Beau Sirois; her brother, John J. Kovacs and his wife, Jeanne; her sister, Ella Distasio; her brother-in-law, Donald Borgnine; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her son-in-law, Paul D. Kuzub; sisters, Pat Harhut and Ethel Borgnine; and her brothers, Andrew, William and Alexander Kovacs.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Thursday, May 1, from 11 a.m. until 12:45 p.m. A funeral service will follow in The Wallingford Funeral Home at 1 p.m. Interment will be in St. John Cemetery in Wallingford.
