PROSPECT - Kathleen (Thompson) Senese, 79, of Prospect, passed away Saturday, May 31, 2014 at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. She was the wife of the late Gennaro Eugene Senese.

She was born August 21, 1934 in New York, the daughter of the late William and Ann (Tobin) Thompson. She received a master's degree in psychology from Fordham University in New York. She had retired 18 years ago as Director of the Connecticut Clearing House in Plainville. Kathleen was a parishioner of St. Anthony's Church in Prospect, and was a member of the Ladies' Guild of the church. She helped start the Women's Club of Prospect and was very active in the town.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen and her husband, Zaya Oshana, of Plantsville; a sister, Joyce Ferrara of Long Island, N.Y.; and her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Zaya, Eugene, and Katherine Ann. She was predeceased by a sister, Jean Marie McKenna.
The Funeral Mass will be held Wednesday, June 4 at 11:30 a.m. at St. Anthony's Church in Prospect. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Waterbury. Calling hours will be Tuesday, June 3 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the DellaVecchia Funeral Home, 211 N. Main St. Southington.
