She entered this world Oct. 7, 1938, a daughter of the late John Paul Petro and Irene Rita Jeannette (Ginnotti) Petro. It was a beautiful hot and sunny day on July 21, 1962, when she became the bride of Joseph M. Laffin.

She is survived by her grandchildren, Danny Laffin, of North Carolina, Susan Marie Gilland, of Florida; and a great-granddaughter, Caliana Gilland, of Florida. They were the joy of her life. She is survived by two sisters, Barbara J. Dunham, of South Berwick, Maine, and Patience R. Beascon, of Ruidoso, N.M.; one brother, Joseph R. Petro, of Crossville, Tenn.; and a sister-in-law, Lynne Petro, of Crossville, Tenn.. In addition to her parents and son, she was predeceased by her brother, John Paul Petro, Jr. She will be missed by her three nieces and seven nephews. Alice Mary is loved by her seven aunts, and many cousins. Before retiring she was employed by Unimax Switch Company.
