MERIDEN - Angelina T. Vicchitto Gostyla, 87, of South Meriden, died Monday, June 30, 2014, at the Alzheimer's Resource Center in Plantsville. She was the beloved wife of the late Frank Gostyla.

She was born in Middletown, Sept. 27, 1926, a daughter of the late Dominic and Constantina Carta Vicchitto and was the co-owner of Hair Designers in Middletown. She was a parishioner of Holy Angels Church.
She is survived by her daughters, Linda L. Gostyla, of South Meriden, and Noreen G. Papallo and her husband, James, of Meriden; her grandsons, Anthony and Michael Papallo, of Meriden; her sisters, Josephine (Mrs. Larry) Passinese, of Middletown, and Violet Gostyla and her husband, Albert, of Meriden; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sister, Rose Mancarella; and her brothers, Joseph and Rosario Vicchitto.
Her family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext., Sunday, July 6, from 4 to 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7, at 9 a.m. from the funeral home when the funeral cortege will proceed to Holy Angels Church where a Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Interment will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery in Meriden.
