WALLINGFORD - Anthony Wayne Francis Behan, 76, of Wallingford, died Saturday, June 28, 2014. He was the beloved husband and best friend of 48 years to Betty Ann Davies Behan.

He was born in Chazy, N.Y., a son of the late Thomas and Bertha Behan and was a U.S. Navy Veteran. "Tony" was happiest at home, surrounded by family, cooking side by side with his wife during holidays, picnics, and any other occasion that provided them the opportunity to host the many friends and family that loved to visit. Of course, if there was a New York Yankees or Giants game on you would find him in his favorite chair.

In addition to his wife Betty, he is survived by a son, Michael Behan; and a daughter, Julia Behan Mancini and her husband, Jeffrey Mancini. He will be deeply missed by his five grandchildren, Melissa, Douglas, Jessica, Nicole, Wiley; and great-grandson, Jackson. As well as two daughters-in-law, Shannon Rose and Colleen Behan.

Funeral services were private. Arrangements were under the direction of The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St. Ext. Wallingford and Yalesville Funeral Homes.
