WALLINGFORD - James H. Viarengo, 67, of Wallingford, died Wednesday, July 2, 2014, at MidState Medical Center. He was the loving husband of the late Patricia Viarengo.

Born in Meriden, July 19, 1946, a son of the late Virginio and Anna Massores Viarengo, he was a lifelong Wallingford resident. He was a graduate of Lyman Hall High School and was employed by the State of Connecicut Department of Corrections. He was a member of the VFW Post 591, the Wallingford Elks Lodge and the Polish National Alliance. Jim was an avid Boston Red Sox and Detroit Lions Fan.

He is survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law, Virginio E. and Ann Viarengo, of Arizona, and Frank T. and Cherie Viarengo, of Wallingford; and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother, William Viarengo.

His family will receive relatives and friends in The Wallingford Funeral Home, 809 N. Main St., Ext., Wallingford, Sunday, July 6, from 3 to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be held Monda, July 7, at 12 p.m. in The Wallingford Funeral Home. Interment will be in the In Memoriam Cemetery. Wallingford & Yalesville Funeral Homes.
